<title>Imaginários da Feijoada da Família Portelense: narrativas orais de afeto e experiências de consumo</title>

<description>Título: Imaginários da Feijoada da Família Portelense: narrativas orais de afeto e experiências de consumo
Autor: Barreto, Dayse Tavares
Primeiro orientador: Oliveira, Denise Salles da Costa
Abstract: This thesis visits the Feijoada da Família Portelense in order to reflect on phenomena based on consumption strategies through the oral narratives of a group of participants in the current feijoadas held at the Madureira school and surrounding areas. A well-known event and gastronomic dish in the world of samba and in the city of Rio de Janeiro, the feijoada of the Grêmio Recreativo Escola de Samba Portela fills the Portelão with an eclectic audience and is currently anchored by sponsors who are highly visible both on the school's social networks and in the space itself where the show and meal take place. Through ethnographic research with a qualitative approach, we intend to critically analyze the material collected, based on the observed scenario and interviews with diners, following the lines of thought of sociologist David Le Breton, but also trying to understand how contemporary hyperconsumption can change characteristics that are deeply rooted in a social group. Thus, we are very interested in the imaginaries related to the Portela feijoada constructed in the narratives in order to capture reflections on affection and consumption experiences. Our objective is to analyze these narratives to understand, from them, what imaginaries are constructed regarding the event and the dish today, since we see as a problem an entire market mechanism that may be distorting cultures, traditions and identities.

<title>A Escuta Reminiscente: modulações aurais no consumo e produção de música na contemporaneidade</title>

Abstract: The objective of this thesis was to develop the concept of reminiscent listening. This is an original approach aimed at understanding the condition of listening in the face of new dynamics and experiences of consumption and production present in music. It is observed that the soundscape has become rich in sonic stimuli, thanks to the technological environment resulting from new information and communication technologies. This, in turn, has been producing discontinuous attention regimes. The fundamental characteristic of this mode of listening is the constant pursuit of aesthetic pleasure in musical enjoyment—the vector of its desire. However, it is understood that listening experiences are constantly interrupted, which halts the full flow of listening. Listening is reminiscent because the bodies, absent from the materiality of this pleasurable listening, yearn to recapture the emotional state that remains only in memory. Thus, it is understood that the very communication and information technologies, through algorithms and artificial intelligence, are strategic in enabling bodies to recall these listening experiences and navigate the diversity of stimuli present in the contemporary technological environment.

<title>Depois dos videogames: carpintaria filosófica para uma artemídia pós-gamer</title>

<description>Título: Depois dos videogames: carpintaria filosófica para uma artemídia pós-gamer

Abstract: This thesis speculates on the need to overcome the caricatures and traps contained within the gamer imaginary—a concept appropriated by the cultural industry and distanced from the utopian hacker spirit that characterized the early days of Media Art (Artemídia). The term gamer, consolidated in the first decades of the 21st century, has become associated with a predatory exploitation of repertoires and devices that have lost track of their origins as ludic experiments in technological appropriation. Yet beyond the clichés of violence and addiction, a counterculture of indie games has emerged, resisting these stereotypes by transforming game mechanics and narratives into critical and philosophical tools. This work proposes a return to Media Art as a field of experimentation with computation as a metamedium capable of activating technopolitical creativity. To this end, it conceptualizes two analytical categories: transcendent Media Art and immanent Media Art. Transcendent Media Art questions the limits of time and space in the metaverse, challenging the hegemonic ludo-narratives of the industry. Its self-critical and essayistic works decelerate the pace of technological accelerationism, calling into question the very continuity of technology itself. However, this approach may be accused of alienation, as—despite its critique of the metaverse—it fails to move beyond oneiric experiences to propose concrete alternatives. Immanent Media Art, on the other hand, focuses on the materiality of the metamedium, reclaiming the historical legacy of computation and the libertarian utopia of hacker cyberspace. Yet this perspective risks being interpreted as technodeterminist, constrained by materialist stalemates that hinder a rupture with the technopolitical status quo. Concluding with a pedagogical experiment in philosophical carpentry, this thesis seeks to converge these two categories by maintaining a constant tension between "the time of artisanal writing" (with its affective value) and "the pragmatic time of code" (with its productive optimization). This approach aims to ensure that the creative process and technopolitical imagination are not lost to the seduction of automated efficiency, thereby proposing an alternative path for the return of utopias capable of inspiring new imaginary media.

Abstract: This work deals with the relationships of modulations, effects and counter-effects that exist between contemporary media and literature in a moment that can be considered “post-media era”. Mainly, this work deals with the way in which communication technologies and literature are articulated by the poet and writer Odair de Morais, who uses the accelerated and abbreviated language of the media world and creates a kind of environment of resistance to the immediacy imposed by the culture of media, something, in a way, predicted by Marshall McLuhan, back in the 1960s. Some aspects, such as remediation and the platforming of society, were addressed with the aim of contextualizing the work of the author in question and better understand how his creative process and his works were shaped and amalgamated, which emerge as a result, in some way refractory of a certain spirit of the time that equals everything and everyone.
