Abstract: This paper aims to promote the reflection about the media relations between text and image, their links and correspondences in cinematography, and, above all, the text as contemporary literature. To this end, we consider the feature film Love for Sale¹, text (screenplay published) and image (film reproduction), written and directed by renowned Karim Aïnouz, in collaboration with Felipe Bragança and Maurício Zacharias. The 2006 film features a contemporary Northeast in its plot, and the usual male retreatant who moves between the less arduous spaces of life and future gives way to another genre, the feminine. The woman now moves in pursuit of her purposes. The plot tells the story of the young Hermila, 21 year old Ceará, mother of a little, who returns from Sao Paulo to the hometown of Iguatu - CE with the intention of a new (re) beginning. Not born Suely, it becomes. Due to the loving disappointment she suffers, she finds herself able to go beyond the limits and conditions imposed by society on women, such as her relationship with the body and sexual freedom, the right and autonomy to mobility, among others. Considering the notes of Foucault (2013) and Butler (2017), about sexuality and the feminine, for example, we understand that it is a sexually repressed gender, in which the woman would have the contract of procreation and other tasks. In our context, the woman also had her body repressed in patriarchal ways, such as the Europeans, over time: sometimes slave, sometimes prostitute, sometimes wife and mother of children. Thus, Irigaray (apud BUTLER, 2017) comments that the relationship between male and female cannot be represented in a significant economy in which the male is the closed circle of signifier and signifier. In fiction, Hermila is this woman-body who through experience with mobility seeks to understand herself, to be in transition. Is it a new concept of the feminine, a body that migrates and is empowered through its choices and displacements? Text and image result in a film that can affect the perspective of reality and lead to reflection on how a migrant northeastern female body could seek its place, its autonomy and its freedom. Through explanatory research, based on analyzes and articulations of theoretical and documentary-bibliographic currents, we propose to observe not only the existing media dialogue between text and image (filmic), and the issues involving the female gender. but we also take a brief look at the publication of the screenplay genre as post-film physical “work” and the feasibility of its reading not only instructional but literary, as Vera L. Follain de Figueiredo considers.

Abstract: Founded on Usage-Based Functional Linguistics, we present a synchronous study beyond usage contexts of olha aqui, in terms of Diewald (2002; 2006). Therefore, we lean over the verbal predication microconstruction [olha (x) aqui] and also the transient usages which culminate on construtionality relationship (ROSÁRIO; LOPES, 2019) among the discoursive marker micro construction [olha aqui] and the discoursive bookmark network of [VLoc]. We aimed to raise and described interpretively our data, verify contextual aspects, mapping oral and written modality occurrences, beyond the meaning and form properties of the focused micro constructions. We carried out a quali-quantitative analysis with extracted texts from NURC/RJ database - “Projeto da Norma Urbana Oral Culta do Rio de Janeiro e do banco de dados Corpus do Português”, which gave us a number of 212 tokens arranged on four contexts of usage. Thereby, we verified usage context coexistence instanced by olha aqui, which evidence language gradient, in terms of Bybee (2016), and also that such contexts are typically from orality.

Abstract: The research presented herein is a study of Virginia Woolf’s novel, Orlando, and it aims at offering an overview of the protagonist’s relationship with her own gender and sexuality based on some of Michel Foucault and Judith Butler’s most well-known theories. This paper also takes into account the disruptive nature of the novel’s reality when compared to its exterior society, ruled by discourses that pathologize subjects who cannot adapt to an imposed, heteronormative way of living.
By shedding light on the notorious role of language in the expression of feelings, changes and life events in the literary scope, this research recognizes the invaluable worth of Virginia Woolf’s poetic prose and highlights a few passages in which such expressions are part of the author’s work and, especially, in Orlando.

Abstract: Esta investigación tiene como objetivo contribuir al estudio de interacciones conflictivas en el contexto de una transmisión en vivo en el canal oficial del ex presidente de Brasil, Jair Messias Bolsonaro, en YouTube, donde se observan expresiones de naturaleza impolítica dirigidas a la prensa. El objetivo general de la investigación es observar el ethos interaccional de una transmisión en vivo presidencial para interpretar actos de habla ofensivos que puedan caracterizar comportamientos sin pulidez y violencia verbal. Buscamos ampliar los desarrollos teórico-analíticos emergentes en los estudios del lenguaje desde una perspectiva crítica, enfocándonos en la construcción del espejo de sí mismo (GOFFMAN, 2011) basada en los marcadores de descortesía (CULPEPER, 2011) y en la violencia verbal performativa (BUTLER, 2021) en el ciberespacio, gracias a la fuerza ilocucionaria de los actos de habla que se realizan en ciertas formas rituales. Nuestra fundamentación también se basa en perspectivas pragmáticas del lenguaje, provenientes tanto de la Filosofía del Lenguaje (AUSTIN, 1962; BUTLER, 2020, 2021) como de la nueva Pragmática Lingüística (ALENCAR, 2010; OLIVEIRA, 2008, 2010; MARCONDES, 2006; OTTONI, 2002). El corpus utilizado en este estudio se relaciona con actos de habla que expresan ataques e insultos dirigidos a la prensa brasileña, presentes en tres fragmentos transcritos de una transmisión en vivo presidencial realizada el 24/06/2021 en su canal de YouTube. Utilizando una metodología cualitativa e interpretativa, analizamos el corpus con el objetivo de responder a las siguientes preguntas de investigación: (i) ¿Qué se está redefiniendo con enunciados de naturaleza descortés y violenta dirigidos a la prensa? (ii) ¿Y qué revelan estas interacciones conflictivas con relación a la construcción del espejo de sí mismo por el ex presidente Jair Messias Bolsonaro en este tipo de evento? Comprender este tipo de conducta que busca el conflicto es de suma importancia no solo para el campo de la lingüística, sino también para comprender las dinámicas de las estructuras sociales. No es casualidad que las situaciones de violencia en el ámbito político, que no se limitan solo a la prensa, se vean con frecuencia en los medios de comunicación y generen numerosas visualizaciones y comparticiones. Los resultados obtenidos a través del análisis de esta investigación apuntan, en términos generales, a la manipulación de la representación de la imagen pública, a veces indicando una imagen amenazada y otras veces presentando una imagen agresiva, además del uso de los marcadores de descortesía por emoción o entretenimiento, según Culpeper (2011), dada la audiencia presente en las transmisiones en vivo. Además, fue posible observar el restablecimiento de contextos violentos, de los cuales emerge la fuerza ilocucionaria de los actos de habla basados en la destrucción del oponente a través del lenguaje.
