Abstract: This work aims to investigate the possible repercussions of the absence of burial on the mourning experience. To this end, we adopted the perspective of phenomenology-hermeneutics, seeking to get closer to the expression of this phenomenon in its most original character. The research path is structured in three stages: initially, we carried out a narrative review of the literature, addressing the absence of funeral rituals and closely analyzing studies on the subject of death and mourning, essential elements for understanding the phenomenon in contemporary times. Next, we turn to the ancient Greeks to analyze this phenomenon through the Sophoclean tragedy Antigone and the epic poem Iliad, allowing us to highlight the epochal character present in the repercussions of this phenomenon. Finally, by approaching the experience reports of bereaved people, especially during the recent COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to understand this phenomenon in its epochal character, manifested in the unique expressions of these people. Considering the elements discussed throughout this research, we make a critical reflection on the approach present in current conjectures about the absence of funeral rituals. We observed inconsistencies and limitations in these approaches, which tend to advocate generalizing and even psychopathologizing theories about this phenomenon intrinsic to human existence and, therefore, imponderable.

Abstract: This work proposes to rethink the traditional psychology based on modernity, having as inspiration the film Limite, by director Mário Peixoto produced in 1931. We consider it important to include historical context and facts regarding the director and the film, bringing elements that can expand the dialogue of psychology with the narratives presented. We will rely on the actor-network theory (TAR) as a research methodology, which brings resources that allow the researcher to follow meetings and network relationships, produced and updated by human and non-human actors in articulation, affecting and transforming reciprocally. The research with TAR, then, will follow the processes in these movements and actions generated in the network connections. The film Limite also inspires us through the relationships between the characters and their dramas, with the different non-human actors in the film and, mainly, with the relationships of contrast between the images and the situations that the characters experience. The possible dialogue between the film and the conception of a non-modern psychology, along the lines discussed by Ronald Arendt, overflows when we watch the film Limite and build our own relationships with a non-human actor represented by the film.

Título: A realidade psíquica segundo Sigmund Freud e suas implicações no tratamento psicanalítico

Abstract: This master's thesis aims to problematize the notion of psychic reality introduced by Sigmund Freud and discuss its implications for psychoanalytic treatment. Guided by Lo Bianco, we understand that it is by consulting the works and articles written by Freud, Lacan and other authors in the field that we seek to circumscribe the concepts in psychoanalysis, a procedure that is often understood as an extensive bibliographical review. Nevertheless, the methodology adopted is not about reproducing the considerations made by the authors, but questioning them, examining the construction of concepts and their origins and, above all, recognizing that they are not constructed arbitrarily. The concept of psychic reality has its origins related to the abandonment of the seduction theory, according to which the etiology of hysteria would be associated with early sexual experiences that occurred in childhood with an older child or an adult, usually the father. However, he notes that it would be impossible for the father to be perverse in all cases of hysteria; if so, perversions should occur on a larger scale. Later, Freud affirms that there is a psychic reality, distinct from the so-called material reality. Freud concludes that, although material reality has its importance, psychic reality is decisive for psychoanalytic treatment. Fantasy is a fundamental concept with regard to this problem, since it is correlated with psychic reality. In the article "Creative Writers and Day-dreaming", from 1908, Freud establishes an analogy between children's playing and fantasizing in adulthood, so that fantasy would concern psychic reality, not material reality. It is important to highlight two distinct designations of the term 'reality' in the German language and used by Freud, namely Realität and Wirklichkeit. The first has its origin in the Latin word res, which was used by medieval thought and by Descartes in expressions such as res cogitans (thinking thing) and res extenso (extended thing); thus, Realität concerns reality as a thing, refers to the notion of external or material reality. The second designation is related to the Greek word physis, which has a verbal origin and means “to bring forth” or “to produce”. Freud frequently uses both German terms, which seems to indicate that there is no clear conceptual opposition between the two realities; that is, the psychic reality is not another reality, but the very operating reality of the unconscious system, which produces effects on the subject. The concept of psychic reality implies the constitution of work direction and clinical listening that make up the practice of psychoanalysis. In order to identify and discuss the clinical elements that psychic reality implies, we present the cases of Anna O.'s hysteria, which, although she was not a patient of Freud, is a famous case that presents fundamental clinical elements for the present discussion, Elisabeth von R. and Dora. It is highlighted that the psychic reality is the operating reality in the unconscious system, which implies a subjectively divided subject. Precisely by considering this division, Freud was able to found a theory of the psychoanalytic clinic.

Título: A meditação como prática de autocuidado em tempos de pandemia

Abstract: In this work we aim to discuss meditation as an oriental practice and care in the West. We present Taoist meditation, a reference used by the researcher, as well as the way the West has used this practice today and during the pandemic. Based on the actor-network theory (Latour, 2008) as a methodological support, we bring narratives collected during the pandemic of people around the world who previously meditated and who chose meditation as a form of self-care. We developed the discussion through the Care Logic of Annemarie Mol (1999; 2008) when we considered meditation as a resource in facing the reality caused by the coronavirus. From the narratives and discussions generated, we also point out the contributions of the practice of meditation to psychology, especially its consequences for clinical work, the gestalt approach both as a tool for psychotherapy and as a contribution to thinking about the concepts of awareness and organismic self-regulation.
