Literatura Marginal, Periferia e Ferréz

Abstract

In the present work, the object of analysis is the Marginal Literature produced by Ferréz and its points of contact with a displacement of the place of the periphery. Based on this idea, the research presents, in some moments, Ferréz in dialogue with other peripheral writers and their thematic preferences. The research is about the periphery as the theme of the writer of the new generation of marginal literature and as an possibility of this literature to become "accepted", it begins with the discussion of the concept of "periphery", and then puts into perspective and make a analysis between different meanings of 'marginality' in the context of literature and the arts in an extensive way. From these observations, we discuss the first expressions of marginality in literature, especially here in Brazil and we verify when this marginal feature started to be used in the literature, in fact. Thus, we present the three main different connotations of marginality: the one present in the marginal culture in the 60s and 70s; the one that says about the marginal poetry of this same period; the one referred to writers who brings the periphery, or those who comes from there, as a theme. Then, we present the features of the literary marginality of the new generation and some political and cultural actions of some writers. At this time, we seek to emphasize the aim of the research, which is to discuss the changes in Marginal Literature and discourse of Ferréz within a new conception of literary marginality, inseparable from new meanings and contexts of the idea of periphery.
