Um diálogo sobre a banalidade do mal nos dias atuais: os impactos das redes sociais digitais na identidade humana

Abstract

It's very important and scary to study morality issues these days! In addition to the bluntness and harshness in social relations, the two are associated with the frightening proliferation of the impact of digital social networks. This is the scenario that triggered the construction of this dissertation. We intend to verify how the phenomenon described promotes the emergence of identity characteristics that departs from moral expectations. We conducted a research with young people from the state of Rio de Janeiro prioritizing the delicate structure of the theme addressed, the need for a necessary and sufficient methodology and the realization of the dialogue between the different authors and theoretical currents, without this leading to the understanding of a theoretical mixture without direction. We build and apply an investigative instrument, tabulate the objective responses and analyze the content of the subjective answers. We complement the richness of the responses obtained with a detailed bibliographic research. The study showed that there is a lack of bibliographic references for further research on the subject, which is vast, requiring more studies and investigation. In addition to the current one, the issue of morality and the Internet is complex and requires further work to make the issue more solid. It is important to study the anonymous subject, the invisibility and the (in) security that the Internet can bring and the effects of these factors on identity and, in particular, the morality of individuals. We can see that people still do not realize what are the changes in their way of acting on the Internet, but may realize that the Internet has impacted attitudes and somehow changed their daily lives. Does this crowd of "good citizens" not proliferate moral profiles as described by Arendt in relation to Eichmann? The future and the next researchs will answer these questions
