Abstract

This work starts from a reading of the philosophy of Merleau-Ponty centered on the notion of “Logos of the aesthetic world” as mediated by the relationship of body-perception-world overlap, based on the assumption that it is a fundamental concept of contemporary phenomenology and aesthetics. This work assumes, therefore, the task of showing that, based on the Merleau-Ponty philosophy, it is possible to defend the thesis of the existence of logos of the aesthetic world as logos of the sensitive world, that is, an undivided unit of the body and of things, which ignores the reflexive rupture between subject and object and, therefore, is the sensitive that assumes the previous ground of reflective activity, giving rise to it in a philosophical perspective that no longer considers reflexivity as the prerogative of consciousness and neither visibility as the characteristic of the object as it is characteristic of a dualistic metaphysics of tradition. The Logos Experience of the aesthetic world through the mediation of body-perception-world is what founds and promotes meaning, making intersubjectivity as intercorporeality possible. Thus, through the esthological body-perception-world relationship, the logos of the aesthetic world are shown showing that it is in this region that the categories that emerge as possible for the reflection itself emerge. The logos of the aesthetic world precedes the categories of thought and constitutes itself as the original region of the aesthesis that is born and makes sense reborn each time we perceive the world through the body in a chiasmatic relationship of the order of the indivisible, in a pre-reflexive way , judicative, ontological-original. The thesis shows that the original presence of the world, in turn, can be identified as aesthetic logos, opening up to the discovery of a phenomenology of life, in which the landscape precedes geography and the word precedes grammar. Therefore, an investigation that will think about the aesthetic logos that expresses itself in the universe of corporeality, of sensitivity, of affections, of the human being in movement in the world, immersed in culture and history that is pregnant with meaning, is justified. Likewise, starting from a Merleau-Pontian understanding, the body in the aesthetic experience will be considered as the body that perceives and the relationship of perception in the existence of the logos of the aesthetic world. In addition to this, the body will be thought from the perspective “body in the world”, that is, the body that carries the world itself in a chiasmatic relationship, and because it does, it is the locus of the logos of the aesthetic world and it operates in it. logos prophorikós or logos pronounced as said in The Visible and Invisible, but also the logos endiathetos as interior to the world that brings the sense previous to the logic itself. Finally, this thesis sought to show the meaning of thinking about the body as a “lived body”. This body is a world-body and it is not constituted in Cartesian space, as Merleau-Ponty asserted in The Visible and Invisible, but in the aesthetic world. And this aesthetic world is, above all, a space of transcendence, a space of incompossibilities, of hatching, of dehiscence, and not an objective-immanent space. It will be the logos of the aesthetic world and not the reason or consciousness that founds or institutes the universe of expression, being the first establishment of rationality.
