A constituição do sensível: necrose e criação em Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze e Félix Guattari

Abstract

This doctoral dissertation pursues a concern about a political landscape. In recent decades, it is understood that there has been an oscillation between a prophetic and euphoric word and an apocalyptic and catastrophic one. Currently, it is recognized that the moment of the second word is being lived. In which everything seems to have closed and the political markers, as well as the theories that showed the mobilizations, no longer work. The proposal of the thesis will be to understand this opposition, its condition and its impasses, through a plan. A plan that will be built through three authors and organized from a concept that will cross them: the constitution of the sensible. The authors mobilized will be Félix Guattari, Michel Foucault and Gilles Deleuze. We will propose to understand how the constitution of meaning was organized in each of them. The first chapter will seek to understand how Foucault organized this constitution from the formal bipedal utterances and visibilities and then took it to the informal of power relations. The second chapter will be dedicated to the constitution of Deleuze and Guattari, based on the notion of agency and the peculiar regime of the informal associated with it, the plane of consistency. Then, in the third and final chapter, we will propose: to understand the way in which this constitution of the sensible was tensioned from the closing of the breaches of May 1968; to understand that the constitution of the sensible exposed through the three made complete reference to this event; and we will try to understand how each of them had to rework on it after the crisis. We will thus take the concepts to the field of problems of the time. We will see how Guattari went through his winter years through the diagnosis of necrosis/miasmas. With Foucault, we will follow the passage of the analysis of power relations from the model of war to that of government. And with Deleuze we will follow his journey to painting and cinema, in his displacement in relation to previous fields of work. In view of the proposed path, the thesis will try to extract qualitative parallels about the present time in relation to that period of closure of the authors. It is hoped that, through the persistence of the plane of the constitution of the sensible, a new landscape of the present can be extracted through this interference between times, especially regarding the oscillation between the two prophetic and apocalyptic words.
